Restroom trailer or deluxe units for a wedding?
A restroom trailer feels like an indoor restroom: separate rooms, flushing toilets, sinks, mirrors and lights for an evening reception. Deluxe flushable units cost less and need no power hookup. Many weddings use a trailer for guests plus a standard unit near catering for staff.
What does the venue need for a restroom trailer?
- A level spot the trailer can be towed to and parked on
- A power source: most trailers need an outdoor outlet or a generator
- For some models, a water hookup such as a garden hose connection
- A clear path from the reception area, lit after dark
Share the venue layout when you call so the provider can confirm the trailer fits.
How many restrooms for a wedding?
Guest count, how long the reception runs and whether there is a bar all matter. The PSAI event chart starts at 500 guests: 2 units for 1 hour, 6 for 5 hours. Most weddings are smaller, so ask for a recommendation when you call, and see our porta potty calculator for larger events.
Do I need an accessible restroom at a wedding?
If any guest uses a wheelchair or walker, plan for an ADA-accessible unit on a firm, level route. Steps up into a trailer are not accessible unless the trailer has a lift or ramp.
